What was keeping me busy over my lunch break? Audrey's fabulous baby shower in a garden!
She is just glowing!!
All of her Family Solutions friends got together over our lunch break yesterday in a beautiful outdoor space belonging to the Farmer's Wife, a florist/antique shop two doors down from our office. Because it was so beautiful and green, I only added a couple of touches like the paper Martha Stewart hanging flowers and plastic tablecloths turned swags that you see in the picture above.
The light filtering through the leaves was just wonderful!
I also had to make a cliched disposable diaper cake, if only because they are so precious, and used the rest of the shakers from Erin's Baby Sprinkle to make Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice shakers in honor of Audrey's baby girl.
Didn't quite have enough for everyone, so those that didn't get one went home with a flower centerpiece
Our boss, Anita, already had folding tables and chairs that we just plopped down and added lovely flowers from the Farmer's Wife. It was a little sunshine-y, but such a perfect temperature!
It's like we were in a secret garden in the middle of downtown :-)
I also found the most perfect sign or an all-female baby shower for a little girl at Goodwill, and Audrey had her picture taken underneath it:
Audrey got lots of useful items, although I just had fun making her cute and soft things:
Darn you, knitting compulsion!
We all had fun stepping out for a couple of hours to enjoy tasty food, perfect weather, and spending time with each other. Have I told you lately that I love the women I work with?
Thanks, ladies!
